Canadian Produce Marketing Association president Ron Lemaire appeared at the House of Commons on Thursday, June 6, for a standing committee on international trade.
Lemaire highlighted the importance of supporting Canadian agriculture and food products in trade negotiations, such as the 2026 CUSMA. He also addressed the importance of stabilizing food prices, supporting the produce industry’s sustainability initiatives, and establishing financial protection measures for produce sellers.
