Brandt Channing Louie, chair of London Drugs and president and CEO of H.Y. Louie Co. Ltd., has been named to the Order of Canada.
An accountant by trade, he joined the family business in 1972 and became president in 1987. Today, H.Y. Louie is considered the third-largest private firm in B.C. with an estimated $4.2 billion. He a philanthropist who has contributed to public and non-profit organizations in economic, education, health and arts sectors. He also supports a variety of community initiatives through the Tong and Geraldine Louie Family Foundation.
