PriceSmart Foods Lougheed is set to open its doors on Thursday, Jan. 25. This is the third PriceSmart Foods store and the first to launch since 2016.

The grand opening of the Burnaby store will welcome diverse culinary experiences, offering a unique blend of Western and authentic Asian ingredients.

“We are so excited to open our third PriceSmart Foods store to better serve our diverse neighbours in Burnaby,” says Darrell Jones, president of Pattison Food Group.

A focal point of the new store is Takeout Town, an Asian-style market within the store, offering hot bowls of Hong Kong-style noodles and made-to-order skewers. Harmony Café, an oasis for bubble tea enthusiasts, will provide sweet treats.

In addition to dining options, PriceSmart Foods Lougheed will feature a wide range of grocery products. The fresh produce department features local and international offerings, including gai lan, lychee, and durian. The live seafood section showcases delicacies such as king crab, prawns, and shellfish sourced straight from the tank. The meat market offers cuts of beef, pork, chicken, and more, sliced to order. A bakery with fresh fruit cakes and soft, fluffy bread will be baked daily in-store.

Shoppers will be given exclusive incentives on the grand opening day. The first 400 customers will receive a gift card with $10 or 7,000 More Rewards points. One customer will also receive a free $500 gift card. Those spending $88 or more will enjoy a $10 discount on their purchase.

Pattison Food Group executives joined the store opening celebrations, including at far left Paul Cope, senior vice president, operations, with Darrell Jones, president, beside him, and Jamie Nelson, COO, far right.
