Fresh Prep Foods Inc. has announced the acquisition of Cook it Recipes Inc., a Montreal-based meal kit company.
Fresh Prep Foods will take over Cook it’s operations, including facilities, inventory, equipment, trademarks and other assets. The deal will facilitate expansion for Fresh Prep, allowing the company to establish its presence in Québec and Ontario, complementing its existing stronghold in B.C. and Alberta.

As a Certified B Corp, Fresh Prep says it is poised to leverage its expertise in advancing Cook it’s sustainability initiatives. Plans include introducing zero-waste packaging and carbon-neutral delivery, aligning with both companies’ commitment to environmental responsibility.
Crucially, Cook It will maintain its distinct brand identity. However, Fresh Prep expects the move to strengthen ties with Québec producers to enrich the Cook It menu and culinary offerings.
