CPMA announces speaker lineup for International Sustainability Summit

The Canadian Produce Marketing Association has announced its lineup of speakers for the International Sustainability Summit on Friday, April 26, in Vancouver. 

John Anderson, chairman, CEO and managing partner at Oppy, and Garland Perkins, director of innovation and sustainability, will discuss the fresh produce supply chain, highlighting challenges and opportunities in the space. 

Dr. Yogendra Chaudry, vice president of professional services and environmental, social and government at SSCI/Eco Canada, will join Cheryl Sullivan, International Featured Standards (IFS) and PAC Next consultant, and Joanna Nathanson, to discuss efforts impacting global product supply chains. Nathanson is the policy advisor of international affairs, sustainability and communications at Freshfel, a European Fresh Produce Assocation. 

Jacob Lawes, projects manager at The AgriChain Centre in New Zealand and Dr. Hans Maurer, director of strategy and research with the organization, will discuss global produce supply chain sustainability practices with UNSDGs.

Lastly, a panel of produce sectoral leaders will discuss a systems-based approach to sustainability. Tom Pierce, national director of produce sourcing and supplier development at Sobeys, Matt Aronson, chief revenue officer at Verdant Technologies, John Mesko, CEO at Potato Sustainability Alliance and Gred Ultidewilligen, director of international sales at Copeland, will discuss the issue.
